Horizontal Double Murphy Bed with Metal Frame is designed to lift a double bed along the wall when it is not in use. The ready-made load-bearing carcass and folding slatted base allow furniture makers to develop their own Murphy bed model without spending time on mechanism manufacturing.

The Layout Advantage of Horizontal Opening

The slatted base opens sideways on an axis along its long edge. This way, in the open position the bed extends into the room by its width, not its length. This layout is an advantage in rooms with low ceilings, in attic rooms and in projects where room depth is limited. Enough space must be left on the wall along the length of the bed. Installers looking for a different opening direction can also consider the double slatted-base mechanisms group.

In the 150×200 cm option, the carcass is about 215 cm wide, 166 cm high and 39 cm deep. When opened, it extends about 165 cm into the room.

A Ready-Made System, Freedom in Furniture Design

The metal frame, folding slatted base, gas springs, curved beech slats and the fixing straps that hold the mattress in place come with the product. The wooden body and covers, on the other hand, are prepared by the furniture maker. This way, the colour, finish, handle and cover design can be changed to suit the brand or the architectural project. • The system runs on 2 gas springs, each with a pressure rating between 250 N and 750 N depending on the mattress size you choose.

The product is shipped unassembled and the package contents include an assembly diagram.
