Trundle Bed Mechanism: A Second Bed That Slides Out from Under the Sofa

A trundle bed mechanism hides a second bed under furniture that looks like a sofa by day. So on this page we are not selling the furniture itself, but the steel hardware that operates it. We produce the hardware in our own facility in Bursa. This way carpenters, furniture workshops and architects buy directly from the manufacturer. We currently keep a single model in the catalogue.

How Does the Daybed Mechanism Work?

We designed the system as a front-pull. When you pull the trundle bed forward, it comes out from inside the carcass. Then it sits firmly on the floor on balanced metal legs. This way the bed stays stable throughout use. Moreover, the movement is quiet and balanced; you open and close it easily.

What Does a Trundle Bed Mechanism Offer?

This system opens up two sleeping areas in one piece of furniture. By day the carcass stands as a daybed sofa. At night it changes into a folding bed form. The trundle bed in the lower section accommodates a second person. This way the project does not require an extra room. We use the same concept in our own furniture. Our Asya and Güneş daybeds with trundle carry this system. In the Kardelen model, we added a functional desk to the carcass.

Production, Materials and Shipping

We use 5 mm laser-cut steel parts in the mechanisms. We coat the profiles with oven-baked paint. The bed base has flexible wooden slats. We ship the product disassembled. This reduces shipping volume. We also put the assembly diagram in the package. This way you can do the installation in your own workshop.

Warranty and Mattress Choice

The mechanism and metal frame have a 10-year warranty. We give a 3-year warranty on the wooden parts. We do not include the mattress in the price. Also, standard mattresses up to 18 cm thick work comfortably in this system. So you make the fabric, foam and mattress decision entirely according to your project.

In Which Projects Can You Use It?

The daybed mechanism works well in a studio flat, a teen room and a home office. In the same way, it also suits hotel, student dormitory and kindergarten projects. On the other hand, it saves serious space in narrow volumes such as caravans, tiny houses and container homes. In short, you solve the need for a second bed without losing square metres.

Trundle Bed Mechanism Price and Custom Size

You can see the current price on the daybed mechanism product card on this page. Because we keep a single model in the catalogue, a single price applies; we do not offer separate size or hardware options. But does your project need a different size? On request we offer custom-size production as well. For those who want the trundle bed in a storage base carcass, our disassembled single and double bases with trundle are also ready.
