Hidden Murphy Bunk Bed with Metal Carcass (DIY)
The Hidden Murphy Bunk Bed with Metal Frame has been developed for furniture makers, dealers, architects and project companies who want two beds' capacity on the same wall. When not in use, the lower and upper slatted bases fold into the metal frame; when opened, it turns into a two-level bunk bed.
Two Beds, One Wall
As the lower and upper slatted bases open forward, the gas springs help balance the movement. It is suitable for thousands of opening and closing cycles. The support legs of the lower bed rest on the floor. The upper bed is reached by a metal ladder, and the safety guardrail at the front supports safe use.
Mattress retaining straps keep the mattresses on the slatted bases while the system is opened and closed. The beech slats used in the slatted bases support the mattress from below and help air circulation. Replacing the gas springs every 7 years is recommended.
Customizable Base for Project Companies
The product is supplied as a plain metal frame; its front has no ready-made wood cladding or cabinet door. Furniture makers can prepare the outer body and cladding design to suit their own projects. If desired, the metal system can also be used with a plain bunk bed look.
This flexibility makes it easier to develop different designs for student dormitories, staff accommodation areas, apart hotels, children's and teenagers' rooms, bungalows and small housing projects.

The upper and lower slatted bases take mattresses up to 22 cm thick. The exact mattress length must be confirmed before ordering. The mattresses and the optional wooden outer body are not included in the price. If a thicker mattress is preferred, the cabinet depth must be increased. For safe use, the system must be fixed to a solid wall with suitable fasteners. Provinces where installation service is available: Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Bursa and Antalya (central districts). The product is shipped unassembled and the package contents include an assembly diagram.
